Not rules. Not branding copy. Just the standards that keep the room useful when it gets bigger and reputation starts crowding out signal.

Four standards for the room.

I.

Signal over status.

The world already over-rewards people who have won before. Capital follows capital. Attention follows attention. The polished founder gets heard before the unknown one with the better instinct.

We are not here to replay that. The room should stay weighted toward people with more to prove than to protect: roughly 60% early builders and 40% established ones. If that flips, the room starts teaching performance instead of judgment.

II.

Respect is non-negotiable.

No racism. No sexism. No gatekeeping. No hiding contempt inside "banter" or "just being honest." If someone makes the room smaller for other people, they are the problem.

Past work matters. It just does not buy immunity here. We care more about what you are obsessed with, what truth you see early, and who your work is actually for.

III.

Be useful, not theatrical.

Blunt is fine. Cruel is lazy. Give the kind of feedback that helps this person make a better move next week, not the kind that makes you sound superior for thirty seconds.

The goal is not to win the room. The goal is to leave someone clearer, sharper, and more capable than when they walked in.

IV.

Responsibility, not rank.

This club does not need a social ladder. It does need people who take responsibility for the room while the culture is still fragile.

A steward curates the room, protects the standard, and calls out drift. That is stewardship, not status. If the culture gets strong enough to do that on its own, the role should shrink, rotate, or disappear.
